In the spring of 1998, Island Curbing was started at the request of ONE potential customer. I was approached by a retired gentleman who was frustrated with the problems associated with the "black rubber/vinyl edging".  He had recently visited family in the Salt Lake City area and was impressed with the concrete edging so popular there. After many weeks of researching equipment and the potential product market in central Nebraska, the equipment purchase was made and Island Curbing started doing business.

As a family owned and operated company we concentrate on providing a high quality product at an affordable price. By constantly becoming more efficient in the installation and material purchasing processes, we're able to pass along the savings.

We're especially proud of our colored edging. By adding pigment to the cement in the mixing process, the product is colored throughout and not just on the surface. In addition to this solid color, we often add other colors to the surface of the edging and blend those colors into the concrete. This process gives the appearance of natural looking stone and not just a piece of colored cement. After the multi-coloring process, we can add shadowing and a texture resulting in a look that compliments your home and landscaping.
